How to use our General Paediatric service

Select ‘Paediatrics’ to get started.

On the WhiteCoat app homepage, tap on ‘Paediatrics’.

Choose or create the relevant child account to proceed. Click here to find out how to create an account for your child.

Indicate the symptoms your child is experiencing.

Help us to prepare for the teleconsult by selecting the symptoms you observe in your child.

You will also have the option to upload a referral letter.

Select your preferred Paediatrician.

Select any of the available Paediatricians. Our service is available from Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays).

If your desired Paediatrician is unavailable on an on-demand basis, you may wish to book an appointment with him / her via the app for your preferred time and date, or proceed to the relevant partner clinic for a walk-in consultation.

Connect immediately or at your scheduled appointment.

For teleconsults on an appointment booking basis, you will receive an SMS upon booking confirmation.

Your designated Paediatrician will call you via the WhiteCoat app at the scheduled appointment time. Accept the call to begin your teleconsult.

How does a teleconsult with my child work?

Just like in a face-to-face visit, your Paediatrician can see your child and ask you about your child’s symptoms.

Your child can be examined via video, and using tools such as thermometers and flashlights easily found at home. The Paediatrician can assess your child’s activity level, breathing, interaction and general state of health.

As a rule of thumb, our Paediatricians can see your child for the following conditions:

  • Eczema
  • Allergic Rhinitis (Allergies)  
  • Constipation
  • Cough
  • Sleep problems
  • Other non-emergent conditions

If the Paediatrician concludes during the teleconsult that a physical examination is necessary, he / she may refer you to the nearest clinic or the A&E for a physical consultation. A clinic assistant will contact you regarding the next steps.
